Welcome to a night of culture in Aarhus

Kulturnatten which translates to the night of culture is a yearly event created by a range of cultural organisations and individuals which work and operate in and around Aarhus. Kulturnatten celebrates and unites the cultural life in Aarhus by creating a series of events such as concerts, theatre, exhibitions, speeches etc. around the city.
The idea and motivation behind this event is a desire to expose citizens, city council, visitors, and all others interested to the many aspects of the cultural milieus that exist within the city. Furthermore, it is inspired by a commitment to offer new and alternative experiences based on cross-cultural encounters.
In this way Kulturnatten should be understood as a laboratory or exploratory for new thinking patterns and synergy between the diversity of culture.
It is the hope of the organisation behind Kulturnatten that this night of culture will help draw attention to the many opportunities this city has to offer thereby strengthening its cultural profile.

KulturNat 2009 takes place on the 9th of October

The Keyhanger opens doors
The Keyhanger is your ticket to kulturnat 2009. The Keyhanger can be purchased for very little money and allows you to walk freely among the more than 60 events taking place this evening. Every badge comes with a booklet describing the many events of the night.

Keyhanger prices are:

60 kroner for adults (15 years old and above)
00 kroner for kids (0 – 14 years old)

Keyhangers are now available from VisitAarhus velkomstcenter at Banegårdspladsen 20.
On the night of the event badges can be purchased from all participants of KulturNat 2009.

Children can, free of charge, be accompanied by an adult until 6 pm on the night of Kulturnatten.
